Need Microsoft office on my computer??

I just bought a new computer, it has XP on it, i went to type up s document the other day and relalized that it does not have microsoft office (word, excel, powerpoint) nothing on there. I am not real computer savy, but every computer that i had already that on there, since it's not on there do i have to buy it? or does anyone know of a download program to where i could get it on there without paying 200.00???????

try ebay, someone may have the install CD and license for less than you'd pay retail...
