Depends on how you are going to use it in your business. Its a professional package that has lots of facilities. Whatever software you buy must be bought as an investment and used for the highest return.

what you can do is make copies of it and sell it for about 50$

because i know a lot of people who don't like the new vista so they are down grading to xp 2007-2008

I am not that technically inclined... but I think it is. Worth buying it that is, rather than stealing it from the internet.

I did it, and it seems like a painfully large amount of money, but if you are starting out your own business it feels a lot more professional to do things propperly.

Its a fantastic piece of software, and easily an industry standard for most companies - and most people you will be working with. I know people moan all the time about Microsoft - but the programmes in Office do exactly what I need! Outlook is perfect for managing email, word is more than enough for producing a wide range of written documents, excel is easily powerful enough to mange databases (and very intuative and easy to use) - and Power Point is fantastic! Do you remember what presentations were like before powerpoint?

Relative to many of the other bits of nonsense you will have to buy - its a good investment. It will probably last longer than your printer etc. as well!
