I would like the answer soon as we are dicussing this subject in our Computer Users Group, I used Command.com a lot when DOS was the only thing we had on our computers. Before Microsoft came out with windows 3.1

Is Microsoft the first to put forth Command.com?trojan

command.com is the command parser for DOS. It has been present since DOS 1.0 So the answer to your question would be yes.

Is Microsoft the first to put forth Command.com?abtuvurys 2005

yes check out the history for the DOS at this website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disk_Operat...

apple is already using DOS way back in 1979

and also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command.com

but they were different types of DOS so MS is the first to use command.com
To answer this question I just have to remind you:

DOS is made by Microsoft! So whatever was a first in DOS comes from Microsoft.
The compilation of MS DOS is actually the remaining crippled parts of PCDOS, and competed with the much superior Digital Research DOS, and, TandyDOS, HeathDOS, etc.

Go get DRDOS, free to use, from http://www.drdos.net/

And, the Ultimate Boot CD, with a dozen or so boot systems, on one LiveCDrom. http://livecdlist.com has 310 LiveCDroms.
