okay so i have microsoft office on my desktop.

then i got my laptop

its pretty stupid to buy it again which costs a lot of money

well my mom said that there was a way to transfer it to my laptop from my desktop

how?

shes to busy to do it and i need it for school. ive been using wordpad but im going through powerpoint withdraws.

There is no safe way to do this. If you try to use it on a different machine from the one it was originally loaded to, the activation key will be cancelled, making the new copy unusable, and the actual disk unusable even for recovery.

once you have the file copy and paste to your laptop.. install the file and it should work
one retail pack of microsoft office is supposed to work only on one computer. The product key will not allow you to install it on the other computer. Because the product key is not a volume licensed kind for you to use it on multiple computers.
